I installed suse 10 on my laptop Toshiba a105 with ati graphics.

But when suse starts there is a blackscreen with an X in the middle of the screen. And nothing works.

I then have to press the power button to turn my machine off. But guess what when i try to turn on the machine right after. nothing happens even the bois does not show up.

What is happening, what do i have to do to start suse.

There should be a way to add boot option to get it recognize your video card

It sounds like X is not working at all

You need to specify a GRUB boot video option -- apparently Suse uses sax2 for this
