I have just completed an installation of OpenSuSE 10.0 and the powerbutton and fn-sleep keys do not do anything. I checked the configuration in yast and they are mapped to do things. I tailed /var/log/acpid and do not see events when I press the keys. Does anyone know how to debug the powersaved or acpid on SuSE 10.0?

Your laptop model would probably help as many models have known acpi problems
