Hello2all! I'm going to install subj. But when i place a cd to a drive, the strange menu in text mode appears, then i press a key and the pc hangs! :( How can i load an installer?

Are you sure you want to install Suse on a 166mhz machine? I am assuming it is a 166. You might make sure you that a 32bit kernel is selected.

I think i could try :) What can you advice instead?

I just think Suse is a bit large for such a small machine. You might also look at Ubuntu.

To boot from a cd, I would install Smart Boot Manager on to a floppy disk, load from the floppy and then boot from the cd from there. This assumes, of course that you can access both the floppy and the CD simultaneously, I used the docking station for that. X is the only trouble so far that have had, still unresolved. :(
