Linux-on-laptop folks:
I bought a sony vaio VGNTX751PB laptop
http://www.sonystyle.ca/commerce/servlet/ProductDetailDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=10001&productId=1002418&navigationPath=32009n32160n100192

and installed linux on it. Everthings goes on well except that I can use
only part of the screen (rectangular part in the middle) with fedora core 3 (2.6.9-1.667 kernel). I The laptop has this unusal 11.1" WXGA display3 (1366x768).

I did some googling (played with 915resolution available http://www.geocities.com/stomljen/), but had no luck.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get a full-screen in linux?
Thanks
abhi :)

I'd think the 915resolution shoulkd help this, or at least give you the correct resolution. Use the i810 video driver or similar

Note that you have to patch in the correct resolution, and run the 915resolution program as root to do this before X starts. You can set up a script to run it and put this script in the startup of the runlevel in etc/rc.d

Mike:
Thanks for responding. I had a go with your suggestion.. but
did not succeed.. unless I am messing up somewhere
in using 915resolution. Any pointer on where to find a
detailed HOWTO?
These are the actions taken so far:
1) I downloaded and installed Intel drivers rpm (dri-Intel-3.4-xxx.rpm)
2) I tried using http://www.geocities.com/stomljen
, but no luck.
